BAKER's story
Baker is a dashing CHOCOLATE AND WHITE LYNX RAGDOLL. He is neutered, has his claws, weighs nearly 9 pounds and is about 4 years old. Baker has a medium-to-long, thick chocolate and white coat with generous striping and patchwork throughout his torso, his legs and his sweet face. He has blue, blue eyes that are feeling much better after recently having had entropian surgery. (Entropian surgery corrects a condition where the eyelids roll slightly inward causing irritation to the eyeball from lashes and ongoing contact.) After nearly 4 years Baker is learning how much fun it is to be a cat! He came from a sad situation that necessitated removing more than 50 cats (nearly all ragdolls) from a household. Its really hard under those circumstances for cats to understand immediately how nice it is to not worry about food, clean bedding, ample litterboxes and lots of toys. Baker is making up for lost time. Every day is another experience and he is catching on quickly. Initially he was very fearful of touch and anything where he might have to trust. Today, he LOVES to be combedevery single day. Today, he LOVES to be pet and receive belly rubs. Today, he LOVES to play with toys and be waited on to receive his breakfast and dinner. Baker is a fun-filled project who is looking for someone to continue to teach him the ropes. He has a strong personality and wants to take control. He needs to be reminded that toys are toys and toes and fingers are not (he gets a bit nippy because he doesnt know the difference). Baker is still a bit fearful of restraint but is easily put into a carrier for vetting, etc. He just doesnt want to be hugged. When his foster mom is stretched out on the bed in his room, he is stretched out next to her. Life is the best it has ever been for him. He can get a bit pushy with some cats and is fine with others. (Imagine fending for yourself as one of 50+). The best home for him will be one willing to continue helping him just be a cat. Patience and time are essential as he will be very fearful to start. A cat companion who is laid back but can hold their own or just ignore him would be fine. (He might be a bully to a wall flower kitty or to an alpha kitty.) A respectful dog would be fine. He has too strong of a personality for children in part due to his fear and in part due to his not always understanding the difference between toys and toes. Baker is a great way to add some summer sparkle to your life! Adoption fee $200. Fostered in Oshkosh, WI. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CAT AND OTHERS ,PLEASE VISIT
